On September 28, 2024, a solemn event dedicated to the 33rd Anniversary of the State Independence Day of the Republic of Tajikistan was held in Seoul.

It is worth mentioning that the event was attended by Ambassadors of Central Asian countries, representatives of Korean state authorities, media of the country of residence, students and compatriots.

Within the framework, Tajik-Korea Youth Forum and the presentation of the book “The World of Tajik Embroidery”, which was published with the initiative of the Embassy, ​​were held.

At the Forum, Tajik students made presention on the strategic goals and global initiatives of Tajikistan.

On May 18-19, 2024, in Seoul the Spring Festival of Central Asian countries was held by the Korea Foundation and the Korea-Central Asia Cooperation Forum Secretariat.

While cultural corner of Tajikistan was operated in the event, the Tajik State Academic opera and ballet Theater named after Sadriddin Ayni artists Raкhmonov Manuchehr, Kasimova Farangis and Azimzoda Muhammad performed in the Festival.

On March 7, 2024, the Ambassador of the Republic of Tajikistan to the Republic of Korea Salohiddin Kirom participated in a meeting of Central Asian countries Ambassadors with the Minister of Personnel Management of the Republic of Korea Kim Seong Ho.

 

 

 

 

 

During the meeting, the issues of strengthening cooperation in the direction of advanced training and retraining of personnel, exchange of experience of civil servants, as well as the organization of training programs on capacity building of human resources were discussed.

On November 1st, 2023, the 16th Session of the Ministers of Foreign Affairs of the Cooperation Forum “Central Asia – the Republic of Korea” was held in Ashgabat city, which was attended by the delegation of the Republic of Tajikistan headed by the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Sirojiddin Muhriddin.

 

 

 

 

During his speech, the head of the Tajik delegation shared the country’s vision of expanding bilateral and multilateral cooperation, strengthening cooperation and sustainable development within this effective format.

 

 

 

 

On the sidelines of the Cooperation Forum, six thematic sessions were held in the areas of transport and logistics, health and medicine, environmental protection and climate change, information and communication technologies, science and education, as well as tourism in in-person and virtual formats.

The meeting participants exchanged views on important issues on the agenda, the development of mutually beneficial cooperation and the implementation of joint projects.

 

 

 

 

As a result of the meeting, the Joint Statement of the Ministers of Foreign Affairs and the Work Plan of the Secretariat of the Central Asia-Republic of Korea Cooperation Forum for 2024 were adopted.
